Health Insurance (USA)

Just a question, are there any US citizens in the locality, as I have a US friend who is considering an extended stay for three months and perhaps longer even considering residencia.

If any Americans have been through he same procedure and can offer any help with those questions also regarding the US Obama care and the issues regarding the IRS would be helpful.

I am a dual national (half English/half American) part time living in Spain. Have taken out private healthcare as am not quite a pensioner - it costs about €65-75 a month and it's worth looking into. However, travel insurance is safe bet too.
