New TV System

New TV System

Postby blanconegro » Mon Oct 09, 2017 3:48 pm

We have just moved to a flat in Guardamar del Segura and we're looking for new TV system. We have an "upgraded" Amazon Fire TV Stick but it suffers, like all ipTP systems, from picture freeze, plus channels keep going off the air. We used to have a Jodrell Bank type dish that meant we would watch Freesat but we're not allowed to put it on the flat roof.

We were going to go for Superbeam, but they have now told us there is no signal in Guardamar. Can anyone suggest an alternative? Not ipTV or a satellite dish please. Thanks in advance.

There is a Scandinavian shop beside us in Torreblanca who demonstrated their system to us recently. A most impressive set up and as I recall,no need for a sat.dish. The location is called the TORREMARINA MERCADONA SHOPPING..coming from La Mata, go straight up the hill and not through the traffic lights which veer slightly left. Continue and you will see the shops/ restaurants ahead of you. The tv shop is in the arcade. There is a stunning Swedish flower/ brick a brac shop there too. Hope you get sorted as there is nothing more annoying than the television playing up when you least expect it. Their system is legal as it also supplies Spanish television..for English viewers, there is sky sports and absolutely everything else. The box is very compact and you could cancel sky at home, bring the box with you and use it there as well. Let us know what you think of it if you pay them a visit.
Good hunting.
Rosemary.
P.S. the Bayside restaurant is upstairs and well worth a visit...wonderful food.

Cheers all (even Colint - I was ROFL). I'll give Paul a shout, it was his that installed my Jodrell Bank set-up.
