Selling privately
by Quesadasteve » Fri Dec 29, 2017 4:50 pm
has anyone had much success selling their property privately on forums such as this.
We have a 3 bed detached villa on aerpurto estate in quesada ...there are a few similar up with agents between 119 and 125 k euros
Not in a rush to sale so thought might put a board up ourselves
If after a few months if no takers could put it on with an agent ....but don't fancy paying them. 6% which i was quoted by one agent
Also where can you get a se vende sign from
Good idea or bad ....please let me know ...
Obviously solicitors would be used for the sale process

We sold privately but I have to say we were extremely lucky as our next door neighbour had a friend who ended up buying our apartment. I know the Agents charge an arm and a leg but they can advertise far and wide and I expect most people feel more confident approaching an Agent to view a property.
You can buy the Se Vende boards in any Chinese shop.

Belgian neighbours of ours have recently sold their house privately with their own board.
If you do go the Agent route, try NewStart in La Marina. They sold my parents' house earlier this year for a fee of 3% (minimum charge £3k) and it was only on the market for 2 weeks.

touch wood, we have sold ours, its with solicitors at present.
We put signs up with links to a web page Kath made. Someone contacted us and looked around, obviously liked it as they offered us the asking price.
Idealista is free to list your property as well
You do need to do your homework and you will need an energy certificate and certificate of habitation done and be prepared to negotiate face to face.
Knowing you are up against agencies you should be able to undercut in price all your opposition after all that 6% is in the prices they are up for.
