A good carhire experience

A good carhire experience

Postby Reginaldo » Mon Jan 15, 2018 3:41 pm

I had a very good car hire recently and wish to pass on the experience to other members.

I hired for three weeks using services of CarhireinSpain,co.uk, and the hire company was Drivalia, who operate just outside Alicante airport.

The price was very good, Drivalia accepted my own insurance and simply put a block on my credit cars for use in event of damages.

I then had to change dates...absolutely no problem doing so.

I was taken by minibus to Drivalia, at the airport, the hire process was quick and smooth, very pleasant lady, was upgraded to an almost new ford Fiesta, and when I noticed car had been slightly kerbed, it was photographed and signed for by the same lady.

The three weeks were trouble free motoring, I put no petrol in, and hand over was hassle free.

Well done, Drivalia and CarhireinSpain.co.uk....you have a loyal customer for the next time!!:D:D

My husband and I have used them for a good few years and they were fantastic. Would definitely recommend them.

I have used Drivalia approx. 15 times over last 3 years, mainly through autoeurope & prepay in Sterling using my UK credit card (no extra charge). I make a booking as soon as I have booked flights, normally several months ahead. I then monitor the revised price until the flight date & when price drops significantly I phone autoeurope on their 0800 Freephone number to rebook & refund difference to my card which is done immediately. Don't make original booking by telephone with autoeurope as it costs more than website. I have occasionally booked direct on Drivalia website but autoeurope price is normally cheaper & Drivalia now charge for cancellation / rebooking.
I have a 2-week booking in February & a 3-week booking in May with Drivalia, both through autoeurope.
I always book Fuel on Full / Full basis which costs slightly more than Full/Empty but avoids the inflated fuel charge & trying to return car with small amount of paid-for fuel in tank.
On collection I always check any blemishes on car with their agreement details, on return I take several photos of the car (just in case of any dispute later).
Never had any problem with either company although some Drivalia desk staff do their best to sell me their in-house insurance which I decline as I have an annual Policy which costs £40 pa.

I have been using them for many years, based in Lee on Solent, Martin & Gordon are extremely helpful, any slight problem is followed up pronto.
Many online agencies are just that, online, no help whatsoever when needed, carhireinspain.com are different, never let me down once in all my years of 4/5 times per year rental.
