As usual lots of ifs, buts, and maybees for an unwanted vanity project that a few people want or need . The airforce and the defense dept along with other govt bodies have the final say and that does not look good and nato aint pleased .!!!

I was just looking to book flights out to Murcia and spotted this new post on the Jet2 website, saying they will be switching flights to Corvera in early 2019

Just in case anyone is keen to fly to/from the new airport, the Jet2 flights to/from Corvera from Manchester and Leeds Bradford for Mar/Apr 2019 are on sale now. It will be interesting to see what Ryanair do with their Murcia flights. You can still book tickets to San Javier with Ryanair right through to end of March 2019, but if San Javier is going to close, will their early 2019 flights be re-routed to Corvera ?

If ryanair fly to san javier after Jan 1st 2019 there will be nobody to put the steps to the aircraft.

Can’t see Michael O’leary Complaining about that, it is, after all, a cost saving.

Funny how Jet2 are still booking flights from Leeds to San Javier in March /April 2019 maybe the Air Force are providing the ground crew to service the aircraft
