Farmland between Dona Pepa and Pueblo Bravo. Building?

Farmland between Dona Pepa and Pueblo Bravo. Building?

Postby Redr0bb0 » Mon Nov 14, 2016 10:20 am

Hi

We are lucky to have an open aspect to the rear looking across fields to Lo Pepin.

What we're always well farmed fields have been disused since early this year and now the farmer is removing the trellis and support structures all over the fields.

Does anybody know if there are any plans for building development here? I would imagine this is prime land for it.

Thanks

Whilst I don't know whether building is planned here, I do know that the farmer has taken the framework down previously then re-erected it. Depends what crops he is growing. He manages generally 4 crops a year.

I agree, he rotates his crops every now and then, probably to avoid disease, etc.

Having said that, I wish it was a bit easier to look up and check on planning permission at Rojales council. They don't seem to go in for any " Neighbour Notification" that we are previously more used to.

Let's hope he's managing his land as you say. Thanks.

If he'd sold it to a developer he'd just leave it. A bulldozer would do the job in an hour. I doubt it will be built on yet. Not while there are so many available plots elsewhere.

When we were out a couple of weeks ago a lorry dumped several loads of earth into the pond - we took some photos and he did not return. We back onto the farmland. The plant supports were/are metal and cemented in and the farmer has never moved them since he put them in several years ago. If it is the same area which we back on to I would be very surprised if he moved them unless he has sold the land or intends to change the use. Hopefully we are talking about a different area to the one which we back on to.

We're in the process of buying a property that backs onto the open land. The agent who sold it to us assured us that the farmer had no plans to sell the land. Let's hope this is true. I can't wait to get over in April when we get our keys!

"The agent assured us". Probably the most spoken words by expats purchasing in Spain.
"That land is protected, it can´t be built on", very very often a blatant lie!!!!!
The agent is in no position to assure you of anything outside of the purchase of the property.
