Field fire ?

We went to the Chinese restaurant on the roundabout at La Siesta last night and there was a really strong smell of burning outside, we could also smell it when we got home 3 miles away, it's the same tonight, have you got that smell up at Quesada. I know a few have their fires alight but this is as if a field is on fire

We went to Elche yesterday via the A7 and saw a lot of pollution in the sky and then noticed numerous fires in the campo fields. I believe there are certain times of the year when this burning is allowed.

Or just the smell of people's log burners maybe?

The farmers are clearing the old crop residue and they burn it then spread it on the fields the smell is very strong on the CV 855 where I live
