Iberdrola Dual Meter

Iberdrola Dual Meter

Postby micky » Wed Jan 17, 2018 3:09 pm

Has anyone who has switched to the Iberdrola Dual Meter noticed any significant savings on their electricity bill. I know its all down to the individuals usage, we have a 2 bed apartment with piped Air Con (Not used in winter) electric oven but gas hob. Is it worth changing if the saving is negligable.

If you mean the 8 hour tariff with a smart meter we changed and have seen a significant drop. we seem to be using more electricity and paying much less. We are of course using it at the cheaper rate. We have a 3 bedroom house and use our zircon units for heat. Everything we use is powered by electricity.

Like Andrew Hardy, we have made significant savings on dual-rate tariff.
I would just mention though that the cheap rate is for fourteen hours per day, and the higher rate is for ten (currently 22.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs & 12.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs)
We just make sure that we do as much as possible - washing, dishwashing, pool pump etc etc - during the morning.

They also do an 8 hour tariff where you can split the 8 hours into 2 blocks. We want ours from 7am to 11am and then again from 6pm to 10pm. We're just waiting for the infrastructure for our smart meter to be switched on :(.

Sorry, we are on the eight hour tariff. And we went for 6 & 2. I understand that it used to be 4 & 4 only but they have allowed more flexibility.
