Thank you everyone for your replies. Now feel confident that Specsavers in Guardamar would be a good choice.

I must disagree with the last two comments. I have used Torrevieja Specsavers since they started. They have given both me and my late husband excellent service over the years, including finding a bleed behind one eye, early stage cataracts etc for which I was subsequently referred to and treated successfully at Torrevieja hospital.
