Public liability insurance for dogs

Hi can anybody tell me cost to insure a staffy because he classed as dangerous we have had really stupid qoutes also contact details if poss.T.I.A

If you have decent household insurance the dog will be covered on the policy

we have a staffie had to have loads of police checks and wont allow you to register without the liability insurance also have to have a physiological test which cost 60 euro think we paid about 80 for our liability insurance may have been slightly more. Have to also have a letter from the vet saying they have been spade/sterilised and have all there injections etc took about 6 mths before we got permanent license but if you don't get it done and you get stopped they take dog away and put in the pound

You can ask your home insurance company to find out if accepted, there are companies that exclude certain breeds considered dangerous.
Alternatively you can ask for further Pet insurance quotes, Liberty for example accepts Staffords, 105€ year for liability up to €200k and Vet fees up to €1.000 in case of accidents.
