2000 in Winter and 2100 in Summer. Not that anyone pays any attention, though.

My biggest gripe, apart from the bins being full before md afternoon, is that people are too lazy to collapse boxes or crush plastic bottles - especially those five litre ones.

Perhaps if people did crush and collapse, there'd be a bit more bin capacity!

I didnt know there were specific "binning" times and I am sure most tourists don't. We ask anyone renting our apartment to take all their rubbish to the bins on vacating the apartment, usually about midday.

It's going to be mighty inconvenient having to walk down to the bins after 9pm every night in winter just to take the rubbish out.

2000 in Winter is 8pm.
There are signs on all the bins giving the times when you should put them out. As said, no-one takes any notice and, when I take mine out at 8 in the evening, they are usually full.
Obviously the reason for not having stuff in them all day during the Summer is self explanatory. Smelly enough as it is.
Then again, all the bottle banks with "solo vitrio" and, usually marked in marker pen in English with "glass only - no plastic" is too difficult for people to comprehend.

Cheers Marcliff. I suppose it makes sense, although the reason for not putting stuff in them during the day in summer is exactly why we always empty our kitchen bin as early as possible, to stop the apartment smelling

We also recycle where we can having been indoctrinated where we live in Wales. We have 5 separate containers to put out each week and if there is anything that is in the wrong one, they dont take the rubbish!!

Thanks Quesadalad, I will put a note to that effect in our information pack.

However what do the people who clean properties do? They cant possibly save the rubbish from several properties in their car/van just to bin it at night can they?

Do the bins ever get cleaned? They're ripe enough before 21:00, even when empty.

I always thought that the burned out bins were the result of the careless disposal of BBQ ash but maybe it's deliberate and a way ensuring the delivery of a new, clean, bin
