Can anyone recomend a good local bar restaurant for Sardines preferably with an outside area? Quesada or Benimar areas.

I have not seen any. Last time I had them was at a beach side bar/restaurant in La Mata. The same down in Nerja

Maybe it is more of a beachside meal?

All the restaurants on the beach front serve sardines in some form or another. expect about 6 grilled in a portion. they are of varying quality but I am with Loners on this one Bocaito the last restaurant on the right (back to sea) is probably the best. However don't expect to turn up and get a table at between 1-2 lunchtime you may have to stand and wait as this is possibly the most popular restaurant on the beach.

Hi! My partner is Belgian and a sardine fanatic. She says that the best sardines she has ever had here was at the cafe in the centre of the Sunday flea market on the N332 in Guardamar. Not exactly a restaurant as such but very popular and the sardines were very fresh and tasty. Good to soak up the Spanish atmosphere and pick up a bargain too!
