TRYING TO TRACK A DHL SIGNED PACKET DELIVERED WRONG ADDRESS

TRYING TO TRACK A DHL SIGNED PACKET DELIVERED WRONG ADDRESS

Postby rogerwoodville » Sat Feb 24, 2018 11:47 am

Hi, I am writing this on behalf of my friend name of Forrest who was waiting for an important official package from the UK which should have been delivered yesterday to her in La Siesta Torre but has now been informed by the 'tracking system' that her documents was signed for 'in error'

L. GOON in Cuidad Quesada

If anyone knows the above person or family my friend is very sorry for any problems or inconvenience that this may have caused them but rather than have the documents returned to UK because of L. GOON not knowing who she is we thought we would try out the Quesada Forum site first.

PLEASE SHARE AMONGST YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN QUESDA.THANK YOU
Fingers crossed and many thanks. Chris

Hello, this happened to us many years ago, and we contacted the courier and informed him that he must have delivered the package to a different house as we had not signed for it. (saw the tracking on the internet that it was signed for), We also contacted the UK postal/courier via email and informed them. Later that night, around 9pm the courier brought the package and apologies that he gave it to the wrong address. You would have thought the owner would have brought it around to our house ??? But I expect you have already done the above. Hope it has turned up by now.

It's a very interesting point what is particularly disappointing is that someone as received a signed for delivery and has thus realised it's not for them but has not had a common sense of decency to consider trying to get the package to the real recipient. Very sad

HI
Only a thought that what happened this last week to me could of happened to you.
I was waiting for my parcel from the UK with the tracking details I checked to find it said it had been delivered and signed for I spent over one hour from neighbour to neighbour then back tracing from the UK to the couriers in Spain to find out that when it said it had been delivered and signed for this didn't mean to my address but to the local couriers office and when I got hold of them they said it was to be delivered within the next few days Spain work so different this was with DHL went to local delivery called SEUR.

The only time you will see`` delivered and signed for ` is when it`s actually been delivered and signed for at the address on the package.

If its been received by the local courier it will say so and the status of the delivery will be ' In Transit `

On the day that the package will be delivered, the status will then change to `En Reparto` or `Out for Delivery`.

I would just like to thank everyone who has offered sound advice to us regarding my friends missing package which has very personal important documents inside.
UPDATE as from yesterday when we flew home my friend who is a long time resident in in Torre had still not received her post and has yet again been in touch with ALL parties both in the UK and Spain and the computer is still stating that although her correct address and all details are on the computer the missing package has still been delivered and signed for by a L. GOON in Quesada I do actually think she said at one time it was a MR L GOON however, I am not 100% on that information after a few days.
My friend even contacted the 'sorting office of delivery in Quesada' to see if it was a person there who had received it and was waiting for her to 'collect' but no-one of that name was known at the office.

So now, sadly as it is that whoever has mistakenly signed for this package and once opened it must have seen my friends correct name and address and like you I would have thought they would have tried to either phone or try to arrange for him/her/them to visit her to return it and my friend would have reimbursed them for their transport costs to La Siesta which is only 10 mins away.
There is now an investigation in place to recover the missing documents enclosed in the package BUT PLEASE if you hear or know of someone who has mistakenly received it my friend is not angry but just worried and concerned as well as all the expense of phoning UK and Spanish Authorities in trying to chase this up and we all know just how frustrating that can be!
Please still share and ask around and we all appreciate your efforts in helping us track it down.
Thank you Christine
