Hello Vixen14 could you please post the info about the UK sending money to Poland please.

Thank you

Hello and thank you for your replies.

Let's see how many Women are here and where we are all located then we can organize a meeting.

I will contact WASPI International to get some details and let them know that we will have a group here.

Very true. This thread does seem quite sexist.

If women want equality, then what is wrong with the retirement age being the same as that for men?

Hello

Seems like equality has not happened. Women are still doing the same jobs as men and not getting the same salary.

It's illegal to discriminate on the grounds of gender, that's why the pension age for women went up. It's not going down again unless it goes down for men too, and that's just not going to happen. It's going to continue rising until they reach a tipping point when enough people are dying before pension age. Possibly.

The problem isnt the pension age of women going up, that's not disputed, we all accept that had to happen, it's the way the government have implemented it.

When I started work my pension age was 60 and my private pension and contributions were all based on that. Then they brought in that I would need to be 63, while someone born 18 months earlier could still retire at 60. They then raised the retirement age to 65 and a few years later to 66. So for someone like me born in 1955, I will lose out to the tune of £40,000 by not receiving my state pension until 6 years after I had originally planned.

But isn't that the same for everyone. It's not that I don't support you but everyone is in the same boat, if not worse. When I started work my pension age was 60 but now it's 67 ( the same age as men which it should be).
