I would look in the old part of Quesada. Would never recommend anyone buying on a urbanization.

True, perhaps you are correct.. it can just seem so quiet in winter in some places...I suppose we are all different..

Thats very true. Not sure which areas your experience is based on, mine is Lo Marabu/Dona Pepa,up by the Scandinavian school and Quesada main street over the last five winters.

You need to think about if you only have one car...or for example cannot drive, Doña Pepa has the health centre in walking distance, plus Consum and Lidl, loads of bars and restaurants, yes it gets busy in the Summer but its nice to see some life.
If you are coming here to retire, don't cut yourself off too much as you never know when you will need help, several times, we have called ambulances etc and helped neighbours in distress.
Don't want to sound miserable but you need to really put your thinking caps on.

Good luck, nice to know people are coming back.

We live in Quesada. Where we are its lovely and quiet we on a 500 metre plot. Detached villa All our neighbours live here all year. All quiet, nice and respectful. Its the area near the centre between Aqua Park and the town centre. Not much in the way of holiday let's as all detached villas. Depends on your price range

If you are near a village then there are always shops open, people about and things going on even in winter..

Thank you all for your replies and debates. We came over early August and considered all areas around the south Costa Blanca. We also viewed many areas and houses up in the north which we think is beautiful.
However the place where we felt most suited us and the place where we felt most at ease was Quesada so I'm pleased to say we have purchased a house there and are moving in at some point in October.
Even sampled the Spice Hut today, lovely food!

We came to Quesada in October for a look around with a view to buying somewhere in Europe. We were going to go to Tenerife next and Portugal after that. After viewing about 10 properties, my husband walked to the pub one evening to watch Sky Sports and saw a villa with a “For Sale” sign on. We called the Agents and viewed the place. It was/is absolutely perfect so we bought it immediately. The Estate Agents were very good and made the who,e process easy for us. We got the keys to the villa in December, our furniture is here and we are now living the dream. We haven’t even been here in summer yet so don’t know how busy it gets but this place ticks every box for us. It’s all on one level, it’s across the road to shops, restaurants and bars, there are no hills to climb to walk to said bars etc, we have a large, south facing garden, I could go on and on.

Obviously we cancelled our trips to other Countries. We have found Paradise in Quesada.

We can’t wait for the family to come over and enjoy our new home with us.

My advise to you - go for it!
