Walking To Town

Walking To Town

Postby KimberleyHarper » Wed Apr 26, 2017 8:58 am

Hi Everyone,

Since you are all so helpful here and I'm not having any luck online, I thought I would ask here.
We live in Calle Sierra De Guadarrama (not sure how locals refer to this area) and it seems a 30-40 min walk to the town online but I just wondered if anybody knew any short cuts or if it's possible to walk safely? I'll have my son in the pushchair so wouldn't want to be walking on the roads as such.

I also know by car there are a few old kids play parks close by but not sure which direction to walk in to get to them. Unsure of names or areas of the parks, so any advice on this would be great.

I don't drive (my partner does) and although home is lovely, the garden and pool it would be nice just to go for a few short walks. TIA

Forgot to say my initial quest is to get to town, coffee, shopping and the Don Carlos with soft play for my energetic monkey!

Have you been to The Club? That is about half the distance, you cant do any shopping but there is a kids soft play area and you can grab a coffee.

Aha, is this the one with the large whale on top? If so, yes we have stopped a few times when we have driven by. Sounds awful but I have zero sense of direction. I can't actually remember the name of the club? If you know I may be able to google map whilst walking Haha!

Yes it is the one with the whale on top and Quesadalad is right it is called Quesada Country Club. The Club is round the corner with the bowling green.

If you find it on Google maps it will show you the quickest walking route.

It is 1.4 KM (less than a mile) to the Country Club.

Thank you.

Tomorrow I'm going to go for it! If anyone see's an extremely unhealthy lady stomping around with a probably fed up child in a pushchair. No panic! :-)
