Gateway quesada

Postby Dawnandrob » Thu Dec 31, 2015 2:48 pm

Hi all. 10 of us visited the Gateway on Tuesday night, we didn't book as we wernt really sure of the time so took pot luck. We all had the 3 course, and 5 bottles of red wine and 3 large bottles of water. The food all came out together (course wise) was all hot and lovely. No complaints whatsoever. Thought I would share as we all enjoyed. The meals are not massive, but for 3 courses was more than ample. Oh the bill. 125 euro for us all. Well worth a visit if in quesada. Don't know the name if the street but it's a few doors down from euronics.

Hi
That will be a shame if it has - It was there last time we went there in October. I thought the owner had bought that piece of land and owned it because when he lost the rental on The Bells, he was able to keep the garden.

Maybe he's just shut it for the Winter or just for the Christmas New Year period.. Hope so.

Happy New Year.

It was there one week and just before Christmas gone. I will ask next time I'm in. There's only cars there now. So don't know why it's knocked down.

Thought it strange that the eating area was across the road from the cooking area.

It used to be next door but The Gateway owner lost the lease on the property next door to the garden, so he set up over the road. The Gateway is a great restaurant still though , we love it....and The Campana too! Would really miss them if they weren't there.

Yes Goyo's is good. The menu del dia which is served all day and evening is brilliant value..all freshly cooked and typically Spanish but even those who may say they don't like Spanish food will find something they will like - Simple nicely cooked food!
