Guardamar Restaurant

Postby Theboundary » Wed Jul 31, 2013 9:05 pm

I have only been a member of Talk Quesada for over a week now but have found the site really interesting particularly the restaurant reviews. We are out to Spain again in approx 3 weeks and so looking forward to following up on some of the members recommendations.
My wife and I spend most afternoons on Guardamar beach and often use a Spanish restaurant called Jaime Playa ( I hope I have got that right )
It's situated between the first and second set of cottages that overlook the beach. The service is very good, the food excellent and reasonably priced and of course the setting is wonderful.
A word of warning for those not familiar with that area. The pay and display starts right behind the restaurant and I witnessed numerous tickets being issued as well as two cars being towed away so be careful.

I am afraid I am a creature of habit. Always come to this part of the beach and always have lunch at Jaime Playa or El Bocaito which is found at end of promenade.

Yes, we enjoy Jaen's - Great food and typically Spanish which is good. Not 'fine dining' but multiple choices at a brilliant set meal price.

It has been recommended on TalkQuesada before. See this link : http://www.talkquesada.com/recommended-restaurants-cafes-bars-f25/recommended-traditional-spanish-bars-restaurants-t143.html?hilit=jaen#p860

There are other good traditional Spanish restaurants recommended on this TalkQuesada link too:

Have walked past this restaurant many times and have been tempted but never tried it. Another one for the list to try thanks to the forum.
