Lizarran - Tapas bar & more - Doña Pepa, nr Consum, Quesada.

We have been in Lizarran near Consum in Dona Pepa a few times recently and have had some great food. We always thought it was only Tapas but, as they say outside on the board, it is much more.
See the location here:

We had their 'special' double burger a couple of times which is delicious (see the board outside) and I'm not generally much of a burger person - 2 proper beef burgers sandwiched with slices of brie cheese, bacon, lettuce, pickle & mayonnaise in a large bun served with a little dish of homemade garlic mayonaise and fries on the side.

They also serve plates (Raciones) of different dishes (see the menu below).
On a Tuesday and Sunday all Tapas (pinchos) are only 1€ each all day and evening. See photos of the board below. (On other days they are 1.45 small sticks & 1.95 large sticks)
The children's area upstairs is very popular too - The kids will love it!

We will definitely be using Lizarran more often now we've tried their other food as well as the Tapas.

I went the other week and it was fantastic. I love the idea of helping yourself to the tapas and the trust part too where you keep your sticks and pay at the end. My friend also said that in busy times a guy will walk round with freshly cooked tapas and you just stop him and help
Yourself. I'm sure it happens in other places. But I haven't seen this before. I will certainly visit again

Hi food is good but be aware if you are having tapas and just keep nibbeling when they bring food round your bill soon mounts up, had great tapas and an even greater shock when the bill came checked the bil and it was correct but had soon mounted up in an hour or so. (would still go again) may be better with the burger next time!
