READ FIRST: How to recommend restaurants, cafes & bars

It's always nice & helpful to know that a restaurant, cafe or bar comes recommended - Please post on the "Recommended restaurants / cafes / bars" forum any good experiences you have had at restaurants, bars or cafes in Quesada and surrounding areas.

What to include with your recommendation

  • Include the name and where it is and also the address if possible.
  • An indication of the approximate cost per person would be good and if they have a set meal price too.
  • Also what kind of food is served, for example Spanish, English etc and if it has free Wi-Fi.

Idea behind this forum

Our restaurant and bar topics are extremely popular on the forum and are not just looked at by us but by hundreds of people searching on Google to see what people say about these places before they visit them.

I've spoken to a few owners over the years and all say the same thing, just one bad review on-line can impact badly on their business, even amongst many good reviews. In these times of economic problems a negative review can be very damaging.

Therefore we at TalkQuesada, with your help, would like to keep our Recommendations of bars and restaurants as a positive thing - to recommend places to others and to hopefully boost business to those good places that have served us well.

None of us want our favourite restaurant or bar to close down. We are all aware that one person's opinion is not always the same as another and that all establishments can have an 'off' day, due to various reasons.

If we can all do our bit by keeping the forum recommendations what they actually are "recommendations" and focus positively on all the places that we have enjoyed in whatever way, such as good food, good service, friendly people, nice entertainment and more, then we can all help each other to know where best to go and also help our local business's in the process.

The introduction to our Recommended bars and restaurants section has always had the following phrase " "It's always nice & helpful to know that a restaurant, cafe or bar comes recommended - Please post on the "Recommended restaurants / cafes / bars" forum any good experiences you have had at restaurants, bars or cafes in Quesada and surrounding area's"

We hope you agree that it is best to keep it this way

Jan.

We have just had to remove a topic on a restaurant in Quesada as it wasn't in keeping with our rules above. This only happens very rarely as we don't want to do it very often, but having negative reviews for businesses in Quesada doesn't help businesses and our area to thrive. Our idea here is if you like something then please tell us about it, rather than focusing on ones you don't. Here's a reminder of our reasons for this:

We have recently had a post in our recommended restaurants section that has been posted twice before (and removed twice before!) over the last year or so. It was the same complaint and these people are determined to complain about the same restaurant with something that happened quite a while back. We can never say that this didn't happen but it is unfair as all places can have an 'off-day' even those that have regular fantastic recommendations. Personal complaints should be made to the establishments themselves not aired on any public forum for the reasons shown above.

As we always say...our recommended restaurant forum is for just that " recommendations" and not for complaints, as it is often difficult to tell if the complaint is real or another restaurant/person trying to 'put down' a rival restaurant as allegedly happens on websites like Trip Adviser.

Thank you.

Jan

Reminder - We are not Trip Adviser - If you want to write reviews or make complaints then please use Trip Adviser - They have solicitors fighting the slander cases constantly!

Thank you.

PS. For general Information - TalkQuesada do not have any restaurants sponsoring this site at the moment - It is a free and helpful service for our members to find local restaurants only.
