Recommendation for La Manzana Bar

Postby Gordonchapman » Thu May 21, 2015 1:55 pm

Have been down to the new La Manzana bar(next door to the Indian Ocean restuarant and near the La Laguna Hotel) a few times and it is really nice and friendly. It is actually a siderea and they have an interesting contraption that emulates pouring the cider into a glass from a night, just as they do up in Asturias. Well worth having a bottle of cider for the experience!

The menu del dia is very good value at 6:50 euros and they have a happy hour between 5 -6 pm.

They are having a promotion on during May and June where if you have 5 meals or tapas during that time, the 6th one is free.

My only concern is that it could be in real danger of closing due to the lack of customers. It is not on the beaten track but we could do with keeping another bar open down that neck of the wood.
Hopefully, more people will give it a go soon

I agree.

We need to try these places and get the word round. I can't be in Spain for a while but will definitely be trying these new bars when I get the chance.

The details for La Manzana Sidreria, Bar, Tapas, Restaurant are already on the forum from when they first opened - (See link below):

bars-and-pubs-in-quesada-maps-photos-addresses-contact-details-f97/la-manzana-sidreria-bar-tapas-restaurant-quesada-t6488.html

Let's do our best to not allow this bar to go the same way as the last couple of bars/restaurants in this same spot!

I would like to thank the Gordonchapman for bringing la Manznana to out attention, we have just had a most enjoyable lunch time with amazing Asturian cider( we are cider lovers) and tapas that was that bit different and really excellent. We will be making this one of our regular watering holes. Can't wait to go back next Saturday when there will be live music.

:) Went down there last night (Sunday) and had a great time. Ricardo on the mic and a large bottle of cider with tapas for 4 euro's. Had a few beers to top it all off and very friendly owners and staff. Happy hour 5 to 6pm with beer at 1.25 a pint, very good, they deserve to do well. Will visit this bar again. :D
