Take Away Paella.
by brandyboy » Mon Oct 24, 2016 9:35 am
My daughter visited recently and she invited some friends up from Murcia. I didn't fancy bar-b-Quing so as an alternative I ordered a paella de marisco and a chicken paella from Goyos to take away.
They were presented beautifully and the flavour and content was exceptional.
In Spain there is paella and paella and if you have been disappointed with this dish in the past, then give Goyos a try, they do the real thing.

Goyos is a brilliant restaurant - Typically Spanish with a friendly service. It's one of only a few restaurants that has stood the test of time in Quesada, through the thick and thin of the Spanish economy, and it's so good to have a traditional Spanish restaurant in the town of Quesada...long may it continue.

Yes, you can pop in and order it for a specific time, then you pop in and pick it up in the paella dishes. They stand them on egg trays and cover them in tin foil. The paella stays hot for quite a while, then you return the dishes the next day.
It's a change from bar-b-q and because it's so well presented, it's a real Spanish treat for your visitors.

Sorry, I cheat, when I pop over to the UK I 'treat' my Cousin's to an 'Iceland' Paella (£2) and they all love i.e., with a bit if garlic & chili, as the 'Boss' doesn't like peeling the shells. `I get one from `Mercadona'(1.75€) - Iceland is 4€ for the UK version (a bit bigger) - and add some frozen prawns - pretty impressive, as far as I'm concerned.

Sounds good enough to eat Tony. Not into takeaways myself. I'd rather take the family out, but as I just love proper Spanish paella, I might just give Goyos a try.
