The perfect burger?

Postby Quesadatim » Sun Jul 28, 2013 9:15 am

Would like to ask for recommendations for a perfect burger, one that is home made, has decent quality ingredients and a variety of toppings. Used to love Route 66 which seemed to be very popular and then just closed very suddenly. Also the Bushwacker used to do great burgers but now only has a budget menu. My current favorite is Gogartys irish bar just off la zenia roundabout. Would like to hear about any others and hopefully a bit closer to home :)

Thanks, Tim

Hello Tim,
Are you sure Route 66 in Benimar has closed down? It seemed to be open with people sitting outside earlier this month (July).

We went to Route 66 fir lunch yesterday so definitely open. We didn't have burgers but there was plenty of choice on the menu if that is what you are looking for. We had Dixie chicken which was lovely the piece of chicken was so huge you could have had one portion between two. Can also recommend the fresh burgers out of Mercadona we use them on the barbecue (beef not the mixed variety) very good quality for the money not full of fat.

Great to know that Route 66 is still going, i am not a burger addict but when I do fancy one i like it to be special with all the trimmings. I also love the mercadona burgers, especially with the fresh rolls from the Gamma or the own brand buns from Carrefour. Yum :)

They put BOGOF vouchers in The Voucher Book, this is why we tried the new 50's style diner last year, we have been back many times!

If you try it please tell them I recommended them! :text-thankyouyellow:

I recommend the yellow rose of Texas benimar all of their meat- steak -ribs- burgers- chicken are excellent quality. All portions are large so beware, also you must book as it always busy, the salads are substantial and fresh and their Pina Coladas are the best on the costa

enjoy !
