Covering Tiles

Postby Onella » Tue Nov 14, 2017 6:29 pm

I want to cover the 'fruit and basket' row of tiles in the kitchen and would like to use tile paint, does anyone know when I can buy this or have any other recommendations.

Leroy Merlin are now doing a whole new range of paint including tile paint and kitchen door paint. We hated the fruit in our tiles, along with the plums in the border. We bought some silver tile transfers from the Range at about 99 pence) and covered them so now we just have silver fruit and plums!!

Leroy Merlin are at La Zenia Boulevard (shopping centre) 2 junctions down from San Miguel on AP7 or through San Miguel and Villamartin by the backroads.

If you don’t mind the temporary mess, it’s best to simply smash and replace the border tiles. A good tiler will do this without damaging the wall tiles and borders tend to be a standard width, so it’s relatively easy to find modern replacements. I’ve seen this done a few times now, with great results,
