Gazebo Cover Replacement

Postby Phil_pjb » Tue Feb 21, 2017 3:34 pm

Hi everyone

I have a fixed 3m x 3m gazebo in place. The cover is perished and I'm looking for replacement options.

I went to 2 of the local markets and was quoted 400 euro for a new one as they are generally tailored, and while I don't doubt they will do a great job, I could replace the whole thing for that.

It has the overlapping air/wind vent at the top as well and they have suggested this be removed for ease, being at the top of a large hill... I would do with keeping it.

I can't find any info on its origin unfortunately so i think i'm answering my own question here as to what I need to do, but it anyone knows of, or has had the pleasure of a better solution, I'd love to hear it.

Many thanks

We got ours from Garcias. It's handmade and a much stronger and better made one than the original. It did, however, cost €175 but the material is definitely of a superior quality. Trouble is, we had to provide the model number of the gazebo (which, by the way, cost about the same price for the whole thing originally) but they do have a catalogue with all different types in there.
Like you, the one we had perished but this one seems much better and should last longer. The stitching looks really good and the cover is really thick. It also has the top air vent and the zips in the corner to slide over the crossbars.
I did ask at the market but, yes, they quoted a ridiculous figure for a good one and got a quote of 80 euro from one of the material stalls but it looked and felt like a good gust of wind would tear it to shreds.
This one we got is proper stitched canvas and they do them in a variety of colours.

There is a guy at the flea market near el Moncayo on a Saturday. He was very reasonable...I think we paid 140 euros. Great workmanship and quality.

Thanks to you both.

We tried the main canopy guys at both Lemon Tree Road Market, and the Zocco(???) which is across the AP7 from Ciudad Quesada arches, but that is where the cost came from. I think the Flea market you are referring to is closer to the roundabout, so I'll try that one too.

I've dropped some pictures over to Garcia, so will hit them up when I'm back over.

Thanks again people :-)

I have a brand new, still boxed, cover 3x3 to fit a gazebo from Leroys, has a wind vent at the top, in one piece with elastic straps to fasten to main frame
