Heating Pool with Solar Panels

Postby glen.monks » Wed Mar 29, 2017 11:46 am

Hi, can anyone recommend any suppliers or products so that i can heat the pool out of the summer period? Is there a mobile panel available that you can wheel out to the pool? Any advice/info appreciated.

Can forum members who have solar heating for their pools say what temperature their pools are at as at 31 March.
This could give some of us without solar an idea whether it is worth the extra expense of installation.

I believe they are 12 kilowatts power electricity -- too much for my supply, the running cost must be extorionate.

We bought our villa with solar heated pool. It. Has never worked properly, and despite 3 visits from different companies, and paying out for parts , it is still non funcional, so im guessing , once there is a problem , nobody wants to fix it. They just want to sell us a new system. So maybe your right . Solar is Not the way forward.

I recently saw this firm advertising in a local freebie newspaper . . They provide the air source heat pump system ( it's essentially an aironditioning system). Whilst not endorsing them in any way . . . Their site explains the differing systems and not only gives General running costs but details how those costs rise and fall through the year and why, I found it very informative . . . Site is.
