International moving companies

Postby russ2u » Tue Mar 21, 2017 8:19 pm

Hi - I am moving to Spain in September / October and have been trying to identify a good international moving company. Internet searches are not helping as the reviews are always so mixed its hard to identify which ones are actually good. Could anyone offer any recommendations? Many thanks in advance.

Assuming you are moving from UK, you should get quote from Silverdale, their details in the advertisement on this forum. I have had good experience with them and a perusal of forum posts will show you that so have many other people..there are many positive recommendations for Silverdale.

We used Premier Removals based in Formentera. They are a family run business, Albi and Siobhan and were very helpfull and very reasonable, their website is www.premiermovesspain.com with all contact details.

Coles & Son of Banbury are excellent. They moved us from Camberley, Surrey, to Formentera del Segura last May. They've also moved friends of ours from the UK to Torrevieja and others from the UK to Antas in Almeria. A family owned and run business, we couldnt fault their service - when our Spanish completion was delayed, they even stored the contents of our UK 4 bedroom house at their warehouse in Banbury at no extra charge, until we were able to give them our move date. In addition to our house contents, our shipment included the contents of a double garage, a large teak and granite garden seating set, 8 large granite planters and our 1700 CC cruiser motorbike - the whole lot for Euros 3,800, which was much cheaper than any other quotes we had. Everything arrived on time, nothing missing and nothing damaged.

Dear Sir.
If you want to send a list over i can price it up for you we have a lot of customers on the forum that recommend us which i think is the best form of advertising, a lot of companies transship and until there vehicle is full they dont leave the UK our normal collection is within 7 to 10 days nothing comes of the vehicle until it reaches its destination and i can honestly say with 20 yrs trading we have never had to make a claim thanks Kevin.
