There's also a new app available for your smart phone called "alert cops" that is brilliant. If you're in serious trouble, or just spot something like this idiot conman, you can use the app to report it fast and accurately.
Download is free and it uses the phone's features such as your camera to take a photo of the offence and the GPS of the phone to identify the location accurately etc. This minimises errors due to being in a unfamiliar area and saves time, meaning help can get to you a lot quicker than normal.
Of course, if it's in a local area and you know the local cops number then it's faster just to call them, but this is a great tool for when you're a little outside your area for recording and reporting crime.
