Gypsy Women

Postby benji » Sat Nov 26, 2016 2:30 pm

From Pat Phillips - Rojales Neighbourhood Watch
Thanks to Carole for sending a message to the Facebook page... you can read her post down the page on the right. She is warning us again about these gypsy women who are still working Quesada area. Please keep your gates locked .... its about time they were caught. The message is copied below for those of you not on Facebook

"Gypsies have been 3 times on Malibu, Dona Pepa, Quesada trying peoples doors 1 entered my kitchen my dog chased her out, my neighbour caught 3 in her kitchen, the first time they were in a red car reg
7118 CKR, 2nd time a blue Rav4, didnt see a car 3rd time, even though we chase them of they still come back. Our community ladders have now been stolen. They are getting so cocky when I shouted at them they just sauntered away saying no problemo. Please be aware of these thieves casing your houses looking for items to come back and rob."

best wishes
Pat

Don't know if it's connected, we live in lo pepin and we were broken into yesterday while we were out shoppin, all our doors and wiwindows were locked, they had chiselled the downstairs grill of the bedroom window
they had emptied every cupboard and drawer and even took the mattress of beds looking for cash, they took cash and jewellery and left tvs and computers so probably on foot.
just be very vigilant everybody

Beg to differ, if a burglar see a house with an alarm they think there is high value goods within,we were told this by the police, these burglars have ways round alarms, most of them are professional, they do this 24/7

Sorry to hear this. It must be so upsetting for you
Out of interest did you have window locks and shutter locks? They must have made a lot of noise getting in by chiselling the grills and it must have taken time. Then they would have made more noise getting the windows and shutters open (especially if they had locks on (not an easy task!) It's a wonder no one heard anything!
These thieves don't seem to have any fear. It seems that there needs to be more police patrols and get some of these people caught and prosecuted and locked up, to send a message out that this isn't being tolerated. So far it seems that none of them are ever apprehended which must make the problem escalate as more of them decide that it's an easy option to make money!
My theory is that there are not many unaware tourists to steal and scam from in Winter so house break-ins can become more likely.

We were broken into on the same day as spic n span , Friday 25th November, everything was done in the same manner and they also left TVs and computers, police came out but it seems they do nothing
Ally and Maria
BTW we did not have an alarm these are opportunists and it is obvious they are making money so they keep doing it
