Would you like to be part of the Easter celebrations?

Hi all,

This year marks the 11th anniversary of the Costaleros International Brotherhood and we are short of members to carry the Paso in the parades on Monday 30th March and on Good Friday, 3rd April, in Torrevieja´s Easter celebrations.
Our Paso, which weighs in excess of 1,500kgs. is carried by up to 104 International Costaleros, many of them non-Catholic Christians. The solid wood carved sculptures by the famous artist, Valentin Garcia Quinto in 1984 depicts Jesus praying in the garden of olives overlooked by the Archangel Gabriel together with the 3 apostles, Peter, John and James in repose. A palm tree, olive tree, lights and flowers complete the scene. For us, the Easter processions are a new emotional experience, something never to be forgotten.

We only have 3 possible practice sessions left, held on the next 3 Wednesday evenings in March.
