Accountant for Residents Yearly Tax

Accountant for Residents Yearly Tax

Postby mick » Sat Mar 04, 2017 5:52 pm

Hi I have just cancelled my standing order for ABACO in Torrevieja I'm told there is an accountant in Quesada that is very good with reasonable price to do the yearly assessment. Unfortunately I've forgotten where his office is, or if anybody can advise another I'd be happy to consider .Thanks

If I were you, I would stick with Abaco. I changed mine last year and it was a disaster. Abaco know what they are doing, unlike some others.

We use Fontanals as our fiscal representatives. They charge €125 per year and handle all of our utility payments, community charges, SUMA, community fees and non-resident taxes.
Very impressed with the service we get, well worth the money in my opinion.

Pete,

Sorry you are paying €125 pa is that for two(as you say "our" I guess so). I've paid €198 this year. However, they are very good and sort any issues out.

That's a good question, and the answer isn't straightforward. The house in Spain is held in my wife's name, but we have a joint bank account. We were originally planning to buy the house in both of our names, and I'm fairly certain that the fiscal representation fee they quoted at the time was the same.
To be honest, most of the admin work they do is related to paying bills related to the house so I can't see that it would be much different if the house was jointly owned.

I think the OP asked for a recommendation of someone in Quesada.
