By far, the most cost effective way to do your Non-resident tax is through:

www.spanishtaxforms.co.uk

£29.95 per tax return

They are very responsive and efficient.

I was thinking I might need a gesture or lawyer for the first year or is it quite easy to do straight away

It's very easy to do with Spanish Tax Forms. You just fill in the information on a form on their website and they will tell you what the tax is and complete the form for you. They can either submit it to the bank for payment for you for £12 per person or email it to you to take to the bank yourself. If you take a look at their website you can view the form and the information they require from you. http://spanishtaxforms.co.uk/
