Non Resident Tax

Non Resident Tax

Postby Rick&Jane » Sun Dec 04, 2016 10:51 pm

Hi

We bought a property in April this year and have just heard that non resident tax has to be paid by 31st Dec the latest.
I noticed on the forum a company recommended called "Spanish Tax Forms Ltd", after looking at the forms, they are asking if we want the tax forms prepared for 2015 or 2014/2015. We did not own the property in 2015, as stated just April this year, does this mean we are not due to pay the tax yet??

Bit confused, thanks in advance for any advice.

31st December 2016 is the deadline for paying tax for the 2015 fiscal year.

As we bought our property in mid December 2015 we had to pay a small amount of non-resident tax this year. For us, tax for the full 2016 year will need to be paid by 31st December 2017.

If you didn't own your property until April 2016 then you'll have to pay 8 months worth of tax by December 2017.

Pete.

have finally got round to sorting out paying non resident tax!!!! contacted a british company; which had been recommended on another post, and am now in possesion of completed forms to present with payment at the bank. But after doing a little more reading around the subject i do not know if we have ever completed a MODELO 30 form, which apparently you need to have done to actially register to pay the tax!!!!
Does anyone know if there is anyway of checking if we have completed this form????

When we purchased the property some years
ago, the estate agent took us to many places and we signed for many things -- ie nie numbers, padron, suma, notary etc ---- so cud we have comleted a MODELO 30 at some point then???? cant ask the estate agent as they no longer in business.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
