August 28^th - Flamenco Fenomenal!!!

Starring the legend that is Filiu and Cia. Runner up in the Spanish version of X-Factor, Filiu’s astounding guitar skills have been thrilling audiences throughout Spain. To see him playing his guitar behind and over his head is a feat that will leave you amazed. Joining Filiu and Cia will be members of the renowned flamenco dance company “Ballet al Andalus” who are at the top of their field. Lead by the phenomenal Antonio Cuerva Rodriguez, classically styled flamenco dance is tinted with a modern unique style that will leave you mesmerised.

Raising the roof for Afghan Heroes, Restaurante Los Rosales Guardamar is proud to announce two unmissable shows in aid of the UK charity for wounded troops and their families. These shows will be celebrating the end of Afghan Heroes second year of fundraising. Both top quality shows will be contributing towards Afghan Heroes fund to raise money for a post trauma centre where injured soldiers who fought in the Afghanistan war can retrain and rehabilitate for as long as is needed. There is currently no such facility. Many of the troops are left with no job and no homes after being severely injured, and the charity would like to address that by building the centre.

It sounds like a great event and for a very worthwhile cause, Jan.

Apart from this I also saw an event advertised, can't remember when (soon), but to raise money for a children's orphanage. I was surprised to learn that this Spanish orphanage relied solely on donations (no help from the government) and if money was not raised then there was no money to feed clothe the children. It sounds a dreadful situation.

I wish we were there to go to that meal & show at Los Rosales. I love Spanish live music and watching Flamenco dancers.

Will try to look out for that Orphanage event Sandra. If anyone knows any details about it, please put it on here. Sounds like another worthy cause.
