Charity shops around Quesada.

Postby Jan » Fri Apr 20, 2012 4:40 pm

There are a number of charity shops around the Quesada area. As well as helping towards good causes by selling a wide range of items at very reasonable prices, they are very handy for donating those unwanted clothes, books, bric-a-brac etc. that take up so much room in our homes. Some even can collect large furniture by arrangement, just enquire in the shop(s).

The Paul Cunningham Nurses Charity shop
Near the arches in Quesada, next to Johnsons supermarket, is The Paul Cunningham Nurses Charity shop:
Paul Cunningham Nurses raise funds to provide care in the community for terminally ill patients. Nurses and carers are provided free of charge, subject to an assessment, at the latter stages to patients with a terminal prognosis. They are also able to offer a very supportive general nursing service for those who need them. The service is available 24/7. For more information seehttp://www.paulcunninghamnurses.com/our-services

The Cat Man Charity Shop
“Joe the Cat Man” has opened his first charity shop in Quesada. Joe is well-known in the local area for the work he does in rescuing and re-homing abandoned cats. All of the money raised in the shop is used to help fund the small shelter he has in his garden and meet any associated costs.
The shop has a wide range of donated items from jewellery, clothes, shoes, towels and blankets to home-wear, electrical appliances and greetings cards. All donations are welcome and there are plenty of new items in the shop every week, so it is always worth checking out the bargains. Joe, who is 85 years old, receives no government or official funding at all. Therefore, he relies heavily and completely on public donations and fund raising events to enable him to continue to help abandoned cats in the area.
The Cat Man Charity Shop is in Quesada. Turn left before the arches and first right., the petrol station will be on your right. The shop is second right after the petrol station and is facing the car park.
