Christmas in Rojales-Where to go & how to keep warm?
by Koenigsberger » Tue Aug 18, 2015 3:33 am
We intend to spend Christmas in Rojales this year, does anyone know of Restaurantes that will be open over this week, Also ideas on how to warm our villa during the winter as we have only spent the summers so no experience of the winter.

Hi
Indian and Chinese Restaurants are always open and usually don't overcharge. British Restaurants put on Christmas Menus but are expensive and you have to Book. Depends what you want. Why not do something different to the usual.
A trip to Torrevieja on Christmas morning is eye opening. The Spanish will be out as they Celebrate Christmas Eve and Bars etc all open and families walking about. Wonderful. Make sure you see the Belen by the Main Church.
The weather is usually warm during the Day but cold at night. You need Duvets and warm clothes indoors. The floors are freezing. Get a gas heater. Stay outdoors in the sun as long as you can.

Use a log burner to keep warm... lovely to look at and cozy and warm in the evenings...
Rojales is pretty quiet at Christmas, but the Three Kings Parade is worth seeing...
Local bars in Rojales are open and some bars put on some kind of entertainment through the winter...
We love it in the winter when it's quiet..

I would suggest getting your key holder to putt some low power heaters on a few days before you come out to raise the base temperature before you come out. there is nothing worse than being cold. winter is a great time here.
Anaeto in Benimar is one of the warmest bars in winter probably because it is small we usually go and play cards on nights when there is no entertainment on.

If you type in log burner at top right of the page in the search box you will find all the information you need.
