There were four decent chunks of grilled chicken breast that had been marinaded in something sweet plus crispy deep fried aubergine slices & spinach that had been coated with the thinnest batter. Also there were fried onions & a sultana that had been soaked in something really tasty.

Served with a tall thin fancy glass of beer though only 25cl. It looked more because of the shape of the glass. A really great snack & drink for 1.90€.

Just sorry that I've no photos. It was a naturally shaded setting, very welcome on a hot day.

Sounds yummy - Wish we were in Spain now but we should be there for the Torrevieja Tapas Route from Thursday to Sunday 20th to 23rd November and 27th to 30th November.

Definitely recommend the tapas at club nautico in the marina and Casablanca. First time we have done the tapa trail and absolutely loved the little bit we managed to do. Rojales trail tomorrow!

Thanks for that, obviously that is the Club Nautico tapas, we can see it is from the photo on the leaflet. Can you explain what it was, please?

This is the tapas we had at the Casablanca, which was superb. Been there twice.

This is the tapas from the cafe in Sofia park, again excellent. Chicken breast marinaded in something sweet then grilled plus deep fried spinach (we think) & aubergine. There was fried onions too. Been twice there, might go again tomorrow as the tapas trail doesn't finish till Sunday.

The tapas we had at hotel Eden & hotel Guardamar were tasty, the one at hotel Meridional was, frankly, not worth bothering with. A load of hummus with home made crisps stuck in it, topped with what seemed to be deep fried spaghetti.

Yes that was the club nautico tapas. Very tasty, like a sausage and sage meat inside the little balls, bit of a honey drizzle inside the little pastry case. Beautifully presented. The Casablanca one was also beautifully presented ours was on a rectangle slate. Again not entirely sure what it was! The triangle was savoury on a bed of something sweeter, nice mixture of flavours going on.

Can't believe the effort that goes into these lovely little dishes or how cheap they are.

We tried the hotel meridian, they said they had finished serving and wouldn't start again until 7:30 we were there around 4:45 - not particularly friendly either.
