golf club - anything else there?

Postby Lesley27 » Fri Sep 02, 2016 1:39 pm

Hi, is it worth a trip up to the golf course for non golfers? Are there any good places to eat for lunch?

The golf club itself is excellent for lunch / dinner.
There are other food establishments beside it and upstairs but I can't comment as I have not eaten in them.

Past the golf club are 2 excellent restaurants - Ronalds and La Perla Roja.
The best I can describe where they are is that they are outside the 'dog leg' corner of the 8th Fairway.

Ronald was at one time the manager of La Perla Roja before opening his own restaurant.

Both excellent but not in the budget menu category.

I hope we are talking about the same golf course La Marquesa as I would say 'down to the golf course' :)

Quite a few restaurants/bars/hairdressers/dog grooming place/ laundromat/Supermarket.......nice little centre - they are in the process of refurbishments at the moment so entry & exit is the same at the moment - hopefully not long till it's completed.

The commercial centre around the course seems to cater for all tastes and pockets, Indian , asian, spanish, british, Belgium, . Supa valu supermarket has very wide selection of food. Its a great place to have on your doorstep. Hopefully referbishment will soon be completed, its going to look very smart when finished.

The Club House (you don't have to be a Member) is a very good restaurant. We went there for the first time for lunch a week ago on the recommendation of a friend and were extremely pleased with the service, food, price and ambience - in short - take a trip there. The rib eye steak is to die for!!
