CAROL SINGING THIS DECEMBER 2016

Hello

We think getting together to sing a few well known Christmas Carols is a fab idea and are looking for people to come and join us.

No auditions so nothing to worry about but we need a few weeks to practice together.

So we intend to meet weekly, at La Marquesa Golf Resort, near Quesada, at Stevie's Bar in the Upstairs Room, starting on Wednesday 9th November at 10.15 am. It will be great to meet and sing together to gain confidence.

The practice sessions will last about an hour and a half with a break in between, if you need to leave a bit sooner that's fine, we may even find we only need one hour, so let's play it by ear (pardon the pun).

The good thing is as the Carols are so well known, we don't need backing tracks, and we don't need to learn the words, but can hold the song sheets in our hands.

If after our practices, we all agree and feel confident enough, we can sing outside some local bars/restaurants. Having talked to a few Choirs in Spain, it is very complicated to aquire a licence to enable us to collect money for charity, and the most important thing is to act within the law. So should we decide to sing in public, which we hope we will, we won't be collecting money, but just singing for pleasure.

We hope you agree this is a nice thing to do and will join us at the starting session on Wednesday 9th November.

Please let us know if you can make it most weeks up to Christmas and if you can bring along any friends to join us. Don't forget, no auditions, and who knows it may lead to something else in the new year.

This is the first post I could read without my glasses....

Great idea, nothing like listening to Christmas carols on a winters night. Helps get away from the over commercialising of Christmas.

Afraid I can't join in, I don't have a note in my head :cry:
