Hi, sounds as if one of your elements is away, although it will be hard to find which one, I'm sure repair to one element cost around 60E but not across to advise which company came to replace.....

I'm not an electrician, but I'd try turning the oven on tomorrow, with nothing else drawing any substantial current (kettle's, fire's, iron's etc) - Fridges/Freezers are ok, then see if it still cuts out. If you're only on 15 amps, as the RCD's (cut-offs on the house fuse board) are pretty sensitive, you may be just pushing the limit and trying to draw a little more current than your 'allowance'. If you have the new meters fitted, then they're even closer to the mark - as we found out yesterday while cooking our Sunday Lunch!

Ours has just done exactly the same.....yes it was the element gone. A fairly expensive job am afraid but cheaper than a new oven . A very common thing due to damp and not being used regularly.

Would you like the telephone number of the guy who did ours...fully qualified Electrician and did an excellent job x
