Three Kings Parade Torrevieja 2017
Three Kings Parade Torrevieja 2017
by Jan » Thu Dec 29, 2016 4:43 pm
On Thursday 5th january 2017 from 5pm the Three Wise Men, Melchior, Caspar and Balthasar, will be arriving in Torrevieja at the port.
They will greet all the children and then proceed along the Dique de Levante towards the monument called “Monumento al Hombre del Mar” (Monument to the men of the sea) from there they will go through calle Ramón y Cajal Zoa and then up to Calle Ramón Gallud - Finishing at the main façade of the Iglesia Arciprestal Inmaculada Concepción church, opposite the Constitución square. The Three Wise Men will then play homage to the living nativity scene installed in the square and staged by the students of the local school of theatre.
This event is organised by the Concejalía de Comercio del Ayuntamiento de Torrevieja.
Here's a map of the route taken:

So often I have wished that someone would tell us in advance when and where parades and fiestas are taking place or indeed anything people would enjoy instead of reading about them in the newspapers after the events. I would really appreciate if we could get a list ogether with all of the wonderful events due to take place through the year including places like Cartagena and Valencia. I have heard that there are bus tours going to some of these fiestas but again,I am never privy to this information!
Please make 2017 a year where we can all go and see so many of Spain's cultural events.
May I wish everyone on this forum a very happy and peaceful New Year and please continue offering advice as I really enjoy this informative forum....it is brilliant!
With the help of many of our members we have been providing information for years about all the local fiestas and seasonal events in our Fiestas Forum here:

We also place them on our Talkquesada Facebook.
Just keep looking in on the forum and you will find out in advance.
The coach tours are run by Rosa Tours and David's coaches to most of the fiestas further afield.

Took a few photographs at the beginning of the procession. First time watching this one, thought it was slightly small in scale compared to typical Spanish parades but huge numbers of people https://goo.gl/photos/3KjeMu3MHeQ1XUGs5
