uk life certificate

hi. does any one know where i can get a life certificate signed and stamped. it is for the uk pension service to prove i am still alive and eligible to recieve the uk state pension. have asked the police, pharmacist, and dentist as stated on form. have spoken to several of our neighbours who have recieved pension for several years here in spain but have never had one of these forms. many thanks

We've had it done by Barclays bank, now Caixa. Also had it done by our Tax advisor but they charged us 10eur to do it. Or any Abagado would do it for you but will probably charge you. Barclay did it free but Caixa might not.

Most people can sign. Form usually requires officialdom but friend or neighbour usually suffice especially if they are of some "standing" in a previous life.

I just get one of my neighbours to sign mine. Never had a problem.

I would honestly say to go through an official practice, (lawyer, bank etc) they may charge you a small amount, but I would presume that there would also be some form of official stamp accompanying the signature which would result in less hassle and complications later on.

I get my solicitor to do it normally,although this year however i was allowed to just send a recent utility bill, mind you Brit gas decided that even though they had the life certificate pinned to my file they stopped it,keep a close eye on it
