Not heard that one, though nearly every name under the sun has been suggested ;)

Their website shows the only Spanish mainland shop is at Marbella:-

It is only my opinion but why would anyone want an M&S in Spain. It would never do well if the prices and styles in the UK are anything to go by.Overpriced clothes and overpriced food stores in Spain are never going to do well unless they are in the big cities IMO.

Also a smallish store in Gibralter, agreed that styles and stupid prices would need to be addressed , you only have to look at the UK warehouses offering joblots and pallets cheaply of ex M&S wares that you wonder when will they get it right before they go the way of other high street retailers who did not adjust to current trends, fashions and price points ...!

Ooh, I would be ecstatic if M & S opened locally (food hall anyway) Probably the thing I miss most, them and John Lewis then I probably would never go back to UK and what I save on flights I could spend there.

M&S planed to open in spain around 7 yaers ago when they opened in Paris but then shelved it for the reasons mentioned so I cant see it! also it would be too small so I think it is let's wait and see!! unless someone knows better.
