Dog Advice

Postby LA MARINA LADY » Sun May 07, 2017 7:07 am

I have a 10 year old yorkie who keeps nibbling his toes, he doesn't have mites and I have tried sulphur block for minerals in his water bowl but neither works, I thought I might get some bitter aloes natural ingredient to deter nail biting but cant seem to get that here or in UK. Also his breath is often bad tried garlic and charcoal tablets but neither of them work, his teeth are good so not sure what to do next can anyone help?

Have you taken him to see the vet? He may have a skin condition which is causing him to bite at toes.

You can buy the lotion for nail biting here, as I have bought it. They may have it in either a chemist or a perfume shop as silly as that sounds

If he has bad breath and is chewing stuff then he might have bad teeth and tooth pain. Take him to the vet!

If his breath is bad, have you tried changing his food, instead of tinned food try steamed white fish and boiled rice, also if you feed him treats, either cut them down or cut them out.
