Alicante airport very quiet today

Just dropped my son off the airport is almost deserted, never seen it like it before, I wonder if the Spanish are worried about flying to the Uk at the moment

Do you think people only fly to the UK from Alicante?

No it goes without saying that there are flights to many different destinations! I was just wondering if perhaps Other nationalities who had planned to fly to Manchester or London for a holiday would maybe have second thoughts at the moment.

You should ahave been there on Tuesday it was rammed never seen so many people at this time of year! probably just a quiet day when you went most people won't be put of by these terrorists.

We arrived at easyJet checkin at 9.00am and were the only ones there. Never happened before. Went through to departures and it was heaving! Never seen it so busy at this time of year. Must congratulate the crew on our flight back to Manchester, had a very sympathetic address from the captain with a minutes silence for the victims of the terrorist attack and a collection during the flight.

That IS good - and it's also such a shame that we only seem to actually come together in times like this.

We picked my sister in law up at 10.30 this morning and it was busy and looked completely normal holiday traffic. She flew from Birmingham and did say seciurity was a lot tighter as was expected.

I did a day trip to France via Eurotunnel yesterday . . . The French, unusually, were taking a close interest in arrivals and departures and had armed soldiers vetting vehicles going to UK . . . . seems things behind the scenes are going on . . . .
