Lo Carb or Lite beer?

Lo Carb or Lite beer?

Postby Eltel01 » Thu Jun 08, 2017 12:02 pm

Hi everyone,

Regarding health and diet, please excuse my post but as I am mostly in U.K. cannot check the location personally, but does anyone know of anywhere (supermarkets or even bars?) where lo carb beer can be bought ?

thanks and regards

Most of the supermarkets do Lite beer. Carrefour does Mahou and Coors Lite. Consum has an own brand and so do Lidl and Aldi. Mercadona do Mahou and a light brand which sounds German but probably made in Alicante.
Don't know about bars as I've never asked.
Mercadona and Consum both do a 5% wine, white which is sparkling and tastes of pears (my OH the expert on this) and a rose which tastes of raspberries.

Any spirit with a low calorie mixer is still less calories than any form of beer, (lifelong dieter), however make sure you ask for a small measure and not the usual pour of an 8 count. (equivalent of a triple in UK)

But 230 calories in a UK sized tot so about 1000 calories over here. Or a couple of thousand if you order one in the Nan Kin. (My OH likes vodka and tonic. She has learned to order two glasses and decants the vodka and usually makes at least 3 drinks out of it).

However, the original question was about beer. Amstel light is the lowest carb and I think (not sure as there about a dozen types) I saw it in Consum. Definitely saw the San Miguel light in there in bottles
