Finding someone by their car reg

Finding someone by their car reg

Postby VivaEspana » Thu Jul 20, 2017 2:43 pm

Does anyone know how I can find someone from their car reg?

I've had a cowboy builder in, who I paid in full (cash) and now he's ignoring my calls to return to rectify things. I took a photo of his van as I had a gut feeling he would be trouble.

I know that the police can identify owners by their registration number because I was once in the unfortunate position of being mugged but I managed to get the car reg no. You could take out a Denuncia against them also. Hope this helps.

Thank you. Do I take it out with Quesada police or Los Montesinos where he lives?

I would say you go to your local police in Quesada as that is where the "theft" took place. Hope you get them, and get your money back in full, along with them being punished severely. Hate cowboy builders. Good luck

You might have difficulty getting the reg if it's classed as a civil matter.

Why did you pay if you weren't happy and why in cash?

Because I didn't realise he'd messed up as he hid it underneath the blocks holding the mirror up. They had to stay in place for 24hrs. It all looked fine until I removed them.

I paid in cash because I didn't want to pay money whilst I was in England to a total stranger. He'd asked me to pay money before I came out and into his bank. So, I thought I'd pay as he did it, but he still had me over.

The annoying thing is that he's riding on the shirt tails of his fathers very successful business here in Spain and that's who I booked. What neither of them told me until the work had started was that the original owner, his father, Danny Heywood of Diamond Wetrooms or Bathrooms, is now living in the UK and has nothing to do with the business.

I've got people on the case and he won't get away with it. It's not even a lot of money, but I don't like being taken for a fool.
