No, there's nothing wrong with wanting things you get at home. Over the last 6 years it has increased incredibly and I doubt there's anything you can't get within a 10 km radius.
But we have at least 6 Brit style supermarkets in the area already, three Iceland shops that are one third Waitrose and even Gama and the other Spanish supermarkets stock huge ranges of UK goods (Aldi even has an English section now as does Carrefour).
The only times I've been in M&S in UK and I've normally walked out because the prices are stupidly high and, no, they don't stock "superior" goods. I usually go across the road to Morrison's where everything is half the price and just as good.
Just imagine the prices you'd have to pay here for their stuff.
Quesada has every type of restaurant you can think of but Spanish ones are few and far between. We have Chinese shops, English breakfast restaurants by the score, Belgian bakeries, English bakeries, loads of shops with "English bra sizes sold here" and so on.
If the new boulevard could have a Zara, a Mango, a Spanish bakery or even a Spanish chorizo and jamoneria it would be nice.

M&S and Waitrose are supermarkets for the idle rich.
I'm surprised they don't sell toast and marmalade in packets 'Ready to Eat'.

Hear hear marcliff.
Why live in Spain and stick to second rate stuff from the UK?
Try eating healthier Spanish food, you might a) enjoy it and b) integrate

This is SPAIN you choose to live here. Become Spannish, look what has happened to the UK everybody wants to bring their old country with them. IT CANNOT WORK. BE SPANNISH. there foods and wine are equal to anything in Waitrose or M&S. If you feel so strongly MOVE BACK

Not quite the point I was trying to make. Just that we have a lot of Brit stuff in the area already so it would be nice to have a little bit more "Spannish" (sic) in the area.
