Dog attack

Dog attack

Postby Red Rock » Tue Apr 17, 2018 8:12 pm

a word of advice
yesterday evening around 1845 I was walking through the park near the Country Club and a medium size dog ran at me barking and snarling.
It was off the lead and it circled me and then came back in and bit me on the leg.
The owner came running down and threw the lead mechanism at it and it ran off to confront 2 dogs on leads nearby once again barking and snarling at them.
That is one very insecure/vicious animal so be careful when walking in El Parque.

Also, if the dog bit you, have you had a tetanus jab? Get it checked out at the doc.

I'm sure there was a similar attack from two dogs upon dogs though in the same area a couple of months ago?
Not good though, I hope you've had a tetanus & have reported to the police

report it to the police. It is illegal to have a dog off the lead and if it is over a certain weight or vicious they must wear a muzzle. It is the law

Sorry to hear about your encounter and hope that it wasn't too serious a wound also and that you have taken all necessary precautions to protect your health.
I was under the impression that all dogs had to be on a lead in public places?

Since the owner was running after the dog, trying to catch it, sounds like the dog had escaped rather than being walked without a lead. Just my opinion.
