Where is the nearest train station?

Have some friends in Spain right now who would like to take a train journey from Barcelona to see me, which station is nearest to Quesada?

Albatera Catral is the nearest , trains runs from Alicante to Murcia , your friends would take the Barcelona to Alicante then the local train to Albatera Catral , the station is approx a 15 min drive from Quesada up to motorway towards Alicante , sorry I cant give to exact directions as my husband did the driving , perhaps another forum member could supply these ?

The station is in San Isidro. Take AP7 towards Catral, then the CV 909 towards Albatera. I'd be inclined to meet them at Alicante station, as not all trains stop at Isidro.

Is the station in Alicante easy to access with Parking etc.. ?

There is ample parking albeit no too cheap (not the level of UK charges, but quite expensive for here.)

Go into Alicante on N332, keeping coast on RHS until you get to the port, where you go round a bit of one-way to end up heading up Avenida Oscar Espla. The station is about 1/2 mile up on left-hand side, nicely protected by some one-way streets. To get to it, drive past the station and the Correos and take the 2nd right ..............Calle San Juan Bosco, then at the junction where "Traffico" is on LHS, turn right, then turn right into Av de la Estacion. Keep to right side, but go left at end of road in front of station following road round past front into parking area. Sounds complicated, but really simple once you look at a map...put in .......Av. de la Estación, Alicante, Spain into Googlemaps will show you
